Once there was an ASIAN Snowman...

Well, it's official. It snowed for 24 straight hours in Dallas and we had the snowiest day Dallas had ever seen with a record total of 12.5 inches measured. It is so beautiful and white and all the kids are having snow days. I have never seen so many kids on our street before! Everyone is out building snowmen. We were no exception! Here is our Asian contribution to the snowman clan!

Let it Snow!

For all our family and friends in Utah, this is what our house looked like at the end of the day today. I believe that we have had record snowfall for Northern Texas today and I am just hoping that the snow sticks around so I can take some more pictures of it in the daytime tomorrow...and maybe we'll even build a snowman.

Couch Potatoes

For Ellie's 2nd birthday, Nanas Nguyen and Wood bought her this adorable little couch. She loves to sit on it and watch TV, eat her snacks, read her books, and hang with Jules. Thanks Grandmas! Love you!

Happy Birthday to Ellie!

We had Ellie's second birthday party on Saturday, January 16th at Going Bonkers. It is this way fun climbing playground constructed of interwoven seatbelt-type materials. We had pizza and a Finding Nemo ice cream cake (Ellie loves "fish") and are so grateful to everyone who came and shared the fabulous day with us. Here are a few photo highlights of the party:

Juliette was wonderful and slept through the whole party.
Such a cute little bug.

We went to Brio that night for dinner. YUM!

Thanks Nana and Tata for coming to the party.

Eliza had her 2-year well check on her actual birthday, January 18. She weighed 24 pounds, 6 oz which is the 21st percentile and she measured 35 inches long which put her in the 80th percentile. I didn't believe that the nurse could have measured that right (Ellie was in the 15th percentile for height at 18 months), so the doctor measured her again...and sure enough...she is 35 inches tall. I couldn't believe she had grown that much in six months! Maybe she will have some Wood height in her after all. Ellie is getting better at speaking and repeating words everyday and is such a good helper with Juliette. She loves being a big sister. She also loves Nemo, Cars, Little Einsteins, blowing bubbles, and enjoys reading her books, taking baths, and singing and drumming with RockBand. She is a fabulous eater and is a very independent young lady. And, as an added bonus, she went pee-pee in the potty for the first time yesterday and went again today. We aren't trying really hard to train her, but it will certainly be nice when we have only one in diapers.

Our dearest Ellie,
We love you so much and are so glad to have your smiling face in our lives. You brighten our days (even when you are being a little pill) and we know we could never be the same without you. Thanks for being such a good helper to mommy and daddy and a great big sister to Jules.
We love you, Ells Bells.

Two Months Old

Juliette is two months old. Time goes by so much faster when you are chasing around a toddler. She weighs 11 pounds, 4 ounces now which is the 63 percentile for weight and she's 23 inches long which is the 76th percentile for height. We might actually have an average-sized child this go around! (Ellie was so little she was barely on the charts.) Jules smiles all the time now and, to our delight, began sleeping through the night this week. She is such a joy in our lives and, as you can see, Eliza just LOVES her.
